Public Health

For those who are competing in the Public Health event, they are to create an effective, dynamic, creative presentation to persuade the public on the topic that is given. The topic for this year is Reducing Health Disparities: Social Determinants of Health Can Help. Each Public Health group of 2-6 members will present for the first four minutes of the presentation to a panel of judges. If the judges find the presentation interesting or effective, the competitors will move onto round two. In round two, the team will then present their full presentation. The main goal in a Public Health presentation is to educate their audience about the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) movement and how it is designed to identify ways to create social and physical environments that promote good health for all.
